Small France is a historic district of Strasbourg.He(It) is situated on the Big Island, which is classified in the World heritage of the Humanity by the UNESCO since 1988. 

History of small France:
The district pulls its name of the home of the pox-ridden ones, built in the end of the xve century to welcome the soldiers coming back from the campaign of Italy reached of syphilis, called also "badly French.  Small France contained numerous tanneries and was of this fact the " district of the tanners " from Strasbourg.

The tramway network of Strasbourg harms the city and six municipalities of its urban area. Exploited by the Company of transport of Strasbourg ( CTS), it is considered as a remarkable example of the revival of the streetcar in the 1990s. With the successful experience of Nantes (since 1985), that of Strasbourg contributed to the construction of new streetcars in other French urban areas, as Montpellier or Nice.
